Q&A: Men's Stylist Jazzy

When and where did you first realize you wanted to be a Men's Hairdresser? "I took a barbering course to increase my confidence with shorter hair and immediately loved it and decided to make the switch from hairdressing."

Who is your ultimate hair icon? "Lion babe – her hair is phenomenal and Rihanna because she can do it all!"

Who is the coolest person you have ever met? "My Dad"

If you could be featured in a magazine, which would it be and why? "Rolling Stone, because how badass would that be!"

What’s your favourite thing to do in Soho? "Eat! Eat! Eat!"

If you could be a superhero for a day who would It be and why? "Night Crawler – so I can teleport (not fond of traffic and long flights)"

Who has the greatest influence over your work? "My influence comes from many elements, but I believe drawing from my client’s personal style is important."

Tell us about the best gig you’ve ever been to? "Osheaga Festival, Montreal QC, Canada. Friends, sunshine, camping, variety of music."

If you could invite 5 people over for dinner, dead or alive, who would they be and why? "Jamie Oliver - because he’d probably end up cooking. Nigela - she can make desert. Luke Pritchard - as long as he brings his guitar. Drake - because you need a Canadian on the table. A few women from a shelter, to enjoy a nice meal courtesy of Jamie."

What’s the best thing about your job? "I love having a social job. I get to meet really cool people every day."

If you could cut any celebrities hair who would it be and why? "Cousin It, because it’s out of control and needs help."

Who inspired you to get into the hair industry? "My Nan, she used to work for Vidal Sassoon's and her stories were always magic."

Describe your ultimate day off? "Lots of sunshine, Riding my bike at the park, with a picnic and gin."
