When and where did you first realise you wanted to be a Men's Stylist? Only recently. For years I did mostly women's hair in unisex salons. It was only when I was invited to run a private mens hair dressing room in harrods that I found cutting mens hair was what I enjoyed the most.

Who is your ultimate hair icon? Vidal Sassoon

Who is the coolest person you've ever meet? L.A. Salami. he’s a London based musician who just released his debut album called dancing with bad grammar

If you could be featured in a magazine which one would it be and why? National Geographic. I always wanted to be a traveling photographer

What’s your favourite thing to do in Soho? Shopping at Sister Ray, followed by whiskey sours and beef tartare at Dean Street Townhouse.

Sum up your personality in the length of a tweet... Thoughtful, polite, easily irritated by people walking without purpose on the underground.

What has the greatest influence over your cuts? Influence comes from everywhere, colleagues, friend, strangers but ultimately it comes from the person sat in my chair needing a decent hair cut that suits them and their lifestyle.

Tell us about the best gig you’ve aver been to? Elliott Smith at the royal festival hall. It was one of his last appearances in the UK before his decline and suicide a few years later… on a more cheerful note I saw the Beastie Boys at wembley in 1998 performing on a giant turntable in the middle of the venue.

If you could invite 5 people to a dinner party dead or alive who would it be and why? I’ve never really been bothered about celebrity and they do say you should never meet your hero’s  so in this instance i’d invite my four grand parents (all dead) and my fiancee. They never meet so this would be good for obvious reasons.

What’s the best thing about being a Men's Stylist? Working with your hands and feeling like you’ve created something

Who inspired you to get into the hair industry? My dad suggested it when I was shaving his head one day. Based on me being able to shave his bald head without screwing it up massively he suggested I’d be a great hairdresser as only loving parents can.

If you could cut any celebrities hair who would it be and why? Donald Trump… he needs a good hair cut and I wouldn't even need to meet him as he could send it to me in the post.

Tell us about your personal style... Come in get a great hair cut have a complimentary beer or other beverage and judge for yourself!

Which one garment from your wardrobe could you not do without? My hat

What’s your favourite film of all time? Goonies. Also would like to make an honourable mention for Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and La Haine.

Where do you call home? Brixton

How do your friends describe you? The tall one with the hat… but I’ve also been described as Marv out of home alone.

Describe your ultimate day off? Wake up to a sunny day, spend some quality time with my fiancee, take the dog (which we don't own yet) to brick lane to buy some second hand records. Back to brixton for a roast dinner and red wine with some friends then home to a movie on the sofa.
