As the Lead Men's Stylist at Joe and Co. I have earned my stripes in specialising in men's hair and all grooming services. I feel with the experience I have gained over the years I can give the client exactly what they want. I really like creating a great skin fade and I am very meticulous with sectioning the hair, in particular assessing the head shape and working with it. Classic mens haircuts are my strength and as part of my consultation process, I like to get to know what my client does for their job as I like to think every haircut can be styled for in and out of work. I really believe I have a unique cutting style which helps me to push the boundaries, I’m not afraid to get stuck in and do what I do best. Clippers are my best friend!
I think I have built up a loyal clientele because I’m very honest and thorough in my work and my opinions. I predominantly work with clippers and I like clean looking haircuts but I also like to throw in some contemporary work - like a hair pic n mix!
My main inspiration comes from Men’s magazines, and famous people - I do like to people watch. In 2015 I really liked Alex Turners hairstyle from Arctic Monkeys, he really changes things up with his hairstyle. Moving forward into 2016, I think we will be seeing more, longer, messier, outgrown hair that is not too styled.
My one big tip for guys when it comes to their hair is not to use too much hair product and do not over style it. The products they should be using and I would not be able to get a decent finish on one of my haircuts without are Kevin Murphy Powder puff as it gives messy textured look, Kevin Murphy Gritty Business and Kevin Murphy Sea salt Spray.
