With over 3 decades of hairdressing experience behind him, and an impressive industry portfolio, Joe has some truly great stories to tell.

We get to know the man behind Joe and Co. a little more with a round of quick fire questions…

When were you inspired to step into the hair industry? I actually fell into hairdressing accidentally after my drama teacher suggested it to me.

When and where did you realise you first wanted to be a barber? I started cutting hair at the age of 16 and I enjoyed cutting men's hair immediately.

What's the best thing about being a barber? Meeting new people, I have met so many fine people along the way!

If you could cut a celebrities hair who would it be and why? I have cut quite a few, but it would be interesting to cut David Cameron's hair to find out how he managed to win the election.

Describe your personal style... Heritage is what I am most comfortable in. My wardrobe is full of vintage and selvedge denim.

What is your favourite thing to do in Soho? Soho has and always will be great for people watching!

Sum up your personality in the length of a tweet... Loyal, thoughtful, stressed and busy.

If you could be a superhero for a day who would it be and why? The Green Hornet, because he has the coolest cars.

What has the greatest influence over your cuts? The people around me influence me most.

If you could invite 5 people over for dinner, dead or alive, who would they be... Hilary Clinton because I've always wanted to know what really happened, Pele as he is such an unbelievable talent, Napoleon to be in the presence of a war-mongerer, Queen Elizabeth 1st and Freddie Mercury for the theatre.

What song would be your theme tune? Phat Planet by Left Field as it would always get me noticed!

Where do you call home? London… I'm in Soho most of the time.

Describe your ultimate day off... Family breakfast in bed, drag racing at Santapod, dinner with the wife at Mash in Soho, followed by cocktails in House of St.Barnabus. I would probably end my ultimate day off at Reachin with all my friends and then off to bed with fresh sheets.
